The Magic of Australian Landscape is the Metaphor of White Gums
Step into timeless nature, into land moulded in pre-history and experience the true Australia for its wonderful diversity of life-forms. Begin at the beautiful trunks of Eucalyptus leucoxylon the White Ironbark and discover seasonality in the Black Range, Stawell. Find uniqueness in the many species of trees, shrubs, grasses and wild-flowers, photograph the setting sun over ancient granite boulders and watch native birds, marsupials, echidnas and reptiles. White Gums is about sharing : from our personal experience and regional information – in conservation and protection of the indigenous flora and fauna - in education, monitoring, propagation, cultivation, - in our gardens, plantations and land for wildlife. Our special place in the foothills of the Grampians features 14 hectares of Grevilleas, Banksias, eucalypts and many collections of Australian native plants surrounded by 64 hectares of indigenous vegetation - swamps, rich heathland, grassy plains and woodlands.
